Which Order Should I Apply Nakin Products In?

This is a question that we are asked a lot and we understand why, as lots of skincare brands seem to have a slightly different way of applying and using their products. At Nakin we feel our range is quite traditional in terms of application, we are at the forefront of natural skincare science but we produce traditional products like cleansers, treatments and moisturisers that do not require a complicated routine to apply. We also never use those strong synthetic anti-agers like retinoids and vitamin C which will require a special type of application and need care taken when used with other anti-ageing products. Instead our natural anti-ageing skincare is filled with ingredients that all skin just loves, and so can be applied in a more simple and carefree way. This is not to say that they should be applied in any order, we do have a recommended order and this is to ensure they reach the skin cells in the best possible way, and have the best and most lasting impact on the face and neck. So, read on to find out the correct order to apply our Nakin products in.

If you are using the full routine then it would be in the order below.

1. Advanced Cleansing Milk or Rejuvenating Face Wash.
2. Purifying Face Toner (morning and evening), except on evenings using the Exfoliating Radiance Tonic.
3. Performance Face Serum.
4. Eye Cream Complex.
5. Revitalising Face Oil.
6. Matt Formula Face Cream, or Active Dew Face Cream.
7. Lip Treatment Balm.

We realise that many customers might not be using every product in the range and in this instance, it is absolutely fine to switch some products out, and in this instance the same order would be followed and just with less products.

Some of the common questions that we receive are to do with using the toner and exfoliator together, and using the serum and face oil together for dry skin The serum underneath the Dew Cream will give lots of hydration and is the best for line smoothing, although you will not be left with a greasy feel. For most customers this will be enough but the Revitalising Face Oil is also amazing and can be used after the serum and before applying a face cream. It offers hydration but is also extremely calming and nourishing to the skin, and leaves it with a lovely glow. You could use either the serum or oil, or both for maximum effect. We always recommend our Eye Cream Complex as it has a lovely springy formula that hydrates, smooths lines, plus helps to brighten, and energise.

The face toner can be used in the morning and evening, after either the Advanced Cleansing Milk or the Rejuvenating Face Wash. We also have our Exfoliating Radiance Tonic, and this can be used up to nightly, and the toner would not be needed at the same time as this.
