Which Cleanser Should I Use for Acne?
If you have acne then you might be looking for an effective solution and we hope that our natural skincare can help. Before we answer this question, it is important to note that acne is a skin condition and sometimes using all the right products might not have the desired effect. However, they can do and so we will try to help by advising which cleanser is best to use for acne. At Nakin we always prefer natural methods to help to improve skin and so our advice is based on the natural cleansers in our face collection. Modern cleansers now go way beyond just removing dirt, bacteria and excess oil from skin and the ones that we have developed at Nakin are multi-dimensional. We have four different cleansers and we will discuss them below to outline which ones are the best to cleanse skin, plus also help with skin conditions such as acne. They are all filled with plant extracts that can have beautiful benefits for skin.
The first step to cleansing is to pick a cleanser that clears away daily, grime and impurities, including make-up and SPF, for this we have our Advanced Cleansing Milk and Rejuvenating Face Wash. Our Advanced Cleansing Milk and Rejuvenating Face Wash both remove make-up and this includes eye make-up, although as with all products please take care not to get into the actual eye. The cleansing milk is an oil-based cleanser so gives lots of nourishment and is great for dry and sensitive skin types. The face wash is more suited to acne prone skin, and it has a lovely foam plus is filled with lots of cleansing and conditioning ingredients. Then after cleansing follow up with either our Purifying Face Toner or Exfoliating Radiance Tonic.
Our Purifying Face Toner is used after cleansing and helps to remove the last traces of cleanser and provide a double cleanse to clear & condition the face and neck more deeply. Then we have our Exfoliating Radiance Tonic which contains lots of plant AHAs that help to renew the skin on the face and neck, by clearing away dead skin cells and helping with cell regeneration. This would be used after cleansing instead of the Purifying Face Toner. It can be used nightly or as required, although it is best to start slowly and a couple of times a week. Of all our Nakin Face Products this is the one that can have a big effect on acne.
The AHAs, or Alpha Hydroxy Acids, are natural compounds found in various plant sources. They work by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells, allowing them to be shed from the surface of the skin more easily. This helps unclog pores, reduce inflammation and discourage acne-causing bacteria from growing. The plant AHAs have been proven safe and effective for treating acne when used appropriately. In addition to helping clear existing blemishes, plant AHAs have also been seen to help prevent future breakouts by both encouraging healthy cell turnover and maintaining hydration levels in the skin. Because plant AHAs can increase skin cell turnover, it is important to use a sunscreen when using products. This will help protect the newly exposed skin cells from damage caused by UV rays. Overall, plant AHAs are a safe and effective way to help treat and prevent acne breakouts and they also have lots of other benefits such as helping to ease lines and correct an uneven skin tone.
We hope that you found our post useful explaining the best cleansers to use for acne. Whichever ones you decide to try we would recommend patch testing the cleansers first to ensure that they do suit your skin before full use.
