What Is Causing My Skin Irritation?
If you have irritated skin then it is a good idea to find out what is causing it, as this is the best way to alleviate it, and so avoid any further irritation in the future. If you have an ongoing issue then it is always best to seek medical advice, from a GP, or even a dermatologist if required. This will give an important specialist opinion, with advice and treatment to then aid healing.
It is important to get a proper diagnosis for any skin irritation and different issues require different treatment, and many can get mixed up, such as psoriasis and eczema. Sometimes skin irritation can be a temporary occurrence from using skin products that are too harsh, or an allergy to a skin ingredient. This is why it is always best to use natural face products like Nakin’s, as these are designed to be kind to all skin types.
The problem with skin irritation issues is that once it appears, it can be hard to get rid of. They can be cleared up and skin can be healed, and the time it takes usually depends upon the length of time that the skin issue has been there for.
Some people are more prone to skin issues than others, as their skin is more sensitive and generally more reactive to being affected by things. Here the skin barrier is normally weakened, and this type of minor irritation is probably the easiest to improve.
If your skin is irritated then it is best to work out what is triggering it, as the trigger can then be avoided. For instance, in someone who has rosacea or eczema it could be the perfume or the scent, as too much in a product can be aggravating to skin. Keeping a diary or remembering which products you have used when your skin started having issues can really help to pinpoint the cause.
If you find that your skin is showing some mild sensitivity due to the strong face products that you are using, then this is easily corrected if we stop using them, and then work to heal the delicate skin barrier with our natural face products. We particularly recommend trying our Nakin Revitalising Face Oil as a first stop to help to heal and calm skin.
