The Best Lip Moisturiser

The Best Lip Moisturiser

One of the main jobs of a good lip product is to moisturise effectively and at Nakin we believe that we have the best lip moisturiser with our Nakin Lip Treatment Balm. This comes from the amazing natural extracts that make up the formula and give lips a moisturising treat. It is not a lip moisturiser in the traditional sense, as it has a balm like consistency instead of a cream. The gorgeous 100% natural  balmy consistency means that it goes onto our lips and covers them in plant butters and oils, plus protecting waxes, leaving a pretty coating of long lasting goodness on our lips. We don't think that you will find a better lip moisturiser, and you can find out why it is so good below.

The Best Lip Moisturiser

  • Our Moisturising Lip Balm has won numerous awards including Best Therapeutic Healing Lip balm in the Beauty Shortlist awards, as well being a Best Buy Winner in the Green Parent Beauty Awards. Customers also love it which is why it has mostly five-star reviews.
  • It is a clear colourless non-sticky lip moisturiser, so is perfect for those that prefer not to colour their lips. It does leave a lovely subtle sheen on the lips though, all from the plant ingredients that are completely natural.
  • The moisturising power comes from the special formula which includes some of the most moisturising boosting and hydrating ingredients such as castor oil, shea butter, carnauba wax, beeswax, grapeseed oil, argan oil, baobab oil, mint and sunflower oil.
  • As well as hydrating lips it also helps to protect them from trans epidermal water loss, and this is all without the use of petrolatum. Although it is free from petrolatum many customers use it as an alternative to Vaseline, as it is so soft and rich.
  • One of the special properties of our lip balm is that it is free from any undesirable ingredients, as it is 100% natural. This means that you do not need to worry about putting artificial fragrance, dyes, parabens, silicones, PEGs and any other synthetic ingredients onto lips. Instead, it nourishes beautifully without being harsh or irritating.
  • It does so much more than just moisturising and is also healing to lips, even those that are very dry and cracked. The rich nutritious blend seeps into lip cells to condition plus enhance, and the stimulating mint helps to plump them.
  • The beautiful formula is suitable for all skin types, including dry, oily and sensitive skin. It is free from fatty slippery ingredients such as coconut oil, which can be problematic to skin due to its ability to clog pores. This is why we never use it in any of Nakin’s face products. Our moisturising lip balm is also cruelty free and ethically made in the UK.

The Importance of Lip Moisturiser for Soft, Healthy Lips

A lip moisturiser is an essential part of any skincare routine, specifically designed to keep your lips hydrated and healthy. Unlike the rest of our skin, lips lack oil glands, which means they can't naturally produce moisture. This makes them susceptible to dryness, especially during harsh weather conditions or when exposed to the sun. Regular use of a lip moisturiser helps to lock in moisture, prevent chapping, and protect against environmental stressors. Additionally, many lip moisturisers contain beneficial ingredients like vitamins and SPF, offering extra nourishment and protection. Consistent application ensures that your lips remain soft, smooth, and ready for any occasion.

Lip Moisturiser vs. Lip Balm

At Nakin we use the terms "lip moisturiser" and "lip balm" interchangeably as our Lip Treatment Balm has a balm consistency but is also moisturising for your lips. It also has a balmy texture that creates a barrier on the lips' surface to seal in moisture and protect against external factors. Both are beneficial for maintaining healthy lips, but it's important to choose one based on your specific needs.

The Benefits of Using a Lip Moisturiser

Regular use of a lip moisturiser offers numerous benefits for your lips, including:

  • Hydration: As mentioned earlier, lips lack oil glands, making them prone to dryness. A lip moisturiser provides much-needed moisture to keep your lips soft and supple.
  • Protection: Our lips are constantly exposed to the sun, wind, and other environmental factors that can cause damage. Many lip moisturisers like ours offer barrier protection against some of these environmental factors.
  • Nourishment: Some good lip moisturisers contain plant ingredients that are filled with vitamins and antioxidants that offer additional nourishment for our delicate skin. These ingredients help to repair any damage and promote healthy cell turnover.
  • Anti-Ageing Properties: Lips can also show signs of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles and so a good moisturiser like ours will help to keep lips fresh and youthful, as it is packed with skin enhancing ingredients

More Face Moisturising Products

If you like a good moisturising lip balm, then Nakin’s Lip Treatment is a lovely choice. It can be used as required and has a long-lasting formula. We recommend applying it in the day as required and always applying before bed. This is because our lips can lose moisturise during the night, so applying the balm before bed prevents waking up with dry lips. At Nakin we develop all of our skincare products to be of exceptional quality, with modern high performing natural formulations.
