Natural Affordable Alternative to Elemis Creams

At Nakin we often receive messages from customers asking for recommendations for Nakin’s alternative creams to Elemis’. This is hugely flattering as Elemis are a large company owned by the L'Occitane group, whereas Nakin is a small British skincare brand. All of our products are ethically made, and we have lots of customers switching to Nakin as our products seem to be more natural and affordable than the collection that Elemis have.

Elemis have a very large range and a type of cream for everything. One thing that we do not have at Nakin is night creams, as our face creams are suitable for both day and night use. This is because we do not believe in using an extra rich cream at night, as this is a time when skin needs to breathe and function well, as it goes into regeneration mode when we are asleep.

We have two face creams that could be good alternatives to any of the Elemis face creams. This is the Matt Formula Face Cream which is a lovely moisturiser for oily, normal, combination and sensitive skin. It has long lasting hydration, nourishment and protection but without greasiness. If your skin is drier though we recommend the Active Dew Face Cream instead. They are both packed with natural actives and extracts that are really rejuvenating to skin. They are free from ingredients such as parabens, propylene glycol or silicones, and have a delicate natural scent, as our products are kind to even sensitive skin.

We should mention that sometimes customers find our products feel and smell differently to Elemis products. This is because we do not use ingredients like PEGs and silicones, as they are on our banned list. They can make skin feel lovely, but we feel that they have no actual beauty benefits and instead we like to fill our creams with as much nourishing ingredients as possible. We also only use a small amount of fragrance, this is because even if it is natural then fragrance can be sensitising to skin, and all of our products are suitable for sensitive skin.

Our face creams work in both the day and night, they are rich in natural actives and extracts that give all the hydration, nourishment and protection for both day and night, and they also do not have SPF. All of Nakin’s products are rich in nutrition but never greasy and we do not use pore clogging ingredients like coconut oil. So, the face creams are rejuvenating during the day and again when applied at night.
