Lovely Essential Oils for Destressing

Lovely Essential Oils for Destressing

We often get asked about the essential oils that appear in our natural anti-ageing skincare but we do not actually use any directly, apart from mint oil in our Lip Treatment Balm, to help to revive and plump lips. We also include a small amount in our unique natural fragrance that appears in a subtle level in most of our products. We do not use more essentials oils in our products as they can be quite aggravating to skin and Nakin is made with sensitive types in mind. However, what we do love essential oils for is their other properties, and how they can affect our mood. This can affect how great our skin looks as when we feel good, we have less stress floating around our skin benefits from this. Every essential oil has a different property and we have listed our favourite ones for destressing below.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of relaxation that can come with using essential oils. Whether you are taking a soothing bath or giving yourself a relaxing massage, these natural products can help to ease tension and stress. And, when it comes to destressing, there are certain essential oils that are particularly effective. Before using essential oils, it is best to research into them to ensure they are suited to your particular medical situation and lifestyle. If you are able to use essential oils, then here are some of our favourites:

  • Lavender oil is famous for its destressing benefits and is one of the most popular options for relaxation and stress relief. This floral scent is said to have calming properties that can help to ease anxiety and promote sleep.
  • Bergamot oil is another great option for those looking to reduce stress levels. This citrusy oil has a refreshing aroma that can help to boost your mood and energy levels. This is a lovely one for when you are feeling tired and stressed but need to keep going and have an instant natural pick me up.
  • Chamomile oil is known for its calming effect on the mind and body and is why it appears in lots of herbal teas that offer relaxation benefits. This herbaceous oil can be used to promote relaxation and ease anxiety.

We hope that you found our blog post useful about destressing essential oils. If you are looking for a natural way to destress, consider using one of these essential oils. You can add them to your diffuser or use them in the bath, or for a relaxing massage. Remember to always check an oil is suitable for you before using it, plus read the instructions as undiluted essential oils are very strong and need to be mixed with carrier products before use, such as almond oil. There are hundreds of ready blended aromatherapy products on the market, so it should be easy to find something that is suited.
