How to Face Massage if I Have Oily Skin

Face oils can be wonderous for our complexions, but we understand that they are not for everyone. If you have an oily skin type, then it makes total sense that you would be especially wary of using a face oil. However, not all face oils are too rich for our skin, and there are other options and methods to combat this. At Nakin we believe wholeheartedly in natural anti-ageing face products like ours, and we love a skin boosting natural face oil for the way that it helps our skin in many ways. Our Revitalising Face Oil is for all skin types and excellent for a face massage, we understand though that our customers with oily skin might prefer a different option.

How to Face Massage if I Have Oily Skin

It can be hard to incorporate a good facial massage if you have very oily skin, as a face oil is undoubtedly the best way to create that slip for the fingers and massage tools, to best manipulate the skin without causing any dragging or damage. We do have our Revitalising Face Oil, which is an amazing anti-ageing and calming oil, and although it does not have an overly rich consistency, it can be too much for very oily skin types. When using a face oil, we would also recommend only using a small amount if you have oily skin.

If you struggle with using an oil for face massage then one option is to apply an oil like our Revitalising Face Oil and use it for your face massage and then remove it with damp cotton wool or a cloth, this will still give the skin rejuvenating benefits from the ingredients, plus can act as a very gentle cleanser.

We also have our Performance Face Serum which is more like a lotion than many of the watery serums, or you could try our Matt Formula Face Cream.

Another alternative for a good face massage is to use the Advanced Cleaning Milk. This will also have the added benefit of dislodging impurities during the massage, and it can be taken off completely afterwards with damp cotton wool, or a wet cloth.

If you feel that you cannot use a face oil at all, then hopefully the cleansing milk, serum or cream will work. We would also suggest facial exercises alongside massages. Face massages are great in that they can help with lymphatic drainage, plus ease the fascia and condition muscles, and offer excellent energy and a glow to our skin. Facial exercises are great though for toning up the muscles which can have significant improvements for concerns like sagging. There are lots of facial exercise videos on social media channels.

Face products such as ours will also help with improving overall skin firmness. Our best products for this are the Exfoliating Radiance Tonic, Performance Face Serum and the Eye Cream Complex. The Exfoliating Radiance Tonic is a powerful treatment product that will help with lines and wrinkles, plus keeping the complexion clear. The Eye Cream Complex and Performance Face Serum are also great for lines and wrinkles with the hibiscus peptide, plus help with all round skin conditioning, although it is quite a rich serum with a lotion like consistency.
