How to Effectively Remove Sunscreen from the Face

How to Effectively Remove Sunscreen from the Face

SPF is a wonderful invention, and it has to be one of the best anti-ageing skincare products around as it effectively protects skin from the sun’s damaging UV rays. Sun damage is thought to be the main cause of premature skin ageing, and so being able to protect our face and neck with sunscreen is so important for our health, plus will help to keep skin looking as youthful as possible. We love SPF in whatever shape or form it comes in. Unfortunately, the consistency of SPF can often be thick and greasy on the skin, so it is important to remove it at the end of the say, or when we come home and are not going out in the sun again.

The reason that many of us have problems getting SPF off of our face and neck is because it is quite a thick product and can have a glue-like effect on skin. This is important as sunscreen needs to do an excellent job of protecting skin from the sun and so it is designed not to slip away after application, when we sweat for example. The nature of sunscreen therefore makes it hard to remove, but it need not be if the right products are used.

Our Nakin Advanced Cleansing Milk is great at removing daily grime, make-up and SPF. As it is oil based it is one of the best cleansers to remove SPF. Apply the cleansing milk to the finger pads and warm a little before massaging the product all over the face and neck. This helps to dislodge and melt away the sunscreen. It can then be taken off with a cloth or damp cotton wool. If you have been using lots of sunscreen and applied it numerous times during the day then we recommend double cleansing with the milk to ensure that all the SPF is removed. Then follow the cleansing milk with our Nakin Purifying Face Toner to remove any last traces of cleanser and sunscreen, plus clear skin deeper down. This is important as SPF can be quite pore clogging. It is also a good idea to exfoliate once a week which can be achieved by removing our cleansing milk with a damp muslin cloth. A good face wash will also remove SPF. Keep an eye out for Nakin’s extended product range as we have two new products coming out in the summer, and these cleansers will also help to remove SPF.

We hope that you found our article helpful about effectively removing SPF from your face. As much as we love SPF sunscreen it is really important to cleanse it away from skin properly at the end of the day. At Nakin we have a full range of natural face products that help skin to look as good as it can naturally, and you can find out more about us online at www.nakinskincare.com
