Can You Use a Day Cream at Night?

At Nakin we often get asked if it is ok to use a day cream in the evening as a night cream. There is no general answer as it will entirely depend on the actual cream and its ingredients and properties. At Nakin our natural moisturisers are specially made for morning and night use, and they work as both day and night creams. This is due to the ingredients that they contain and their rich but light consistencies, which are never greasy or pore clogging. At Nakin we use ingredients that our skin loves whatever time of the day that it is. We have two face creams in our anti-ageing products range that can both be used in the day and again at night. They are packed with age defying botanicals that help to resist and correct signs of skin ageing. The ingredients that they contain are all high-quality plant extracts and actives, so are not too rich or drying, they are ingredients that skin loves in the day and night, plus there is no SPF. This is because SPF should really be applied before we actually go outside, and reapplied as needed during the day. Unlike a moisturising face cream which is used in the morning and evening, regardless of our sun exposure times. Both creams offer long lasting hydration, nourishment and protection, plus prevent trans epidermal water loss. We recommend using them morning and evening for best results.

The moisturisers in our collection are the Active Dew Face Cream for drier skin and the Matt Formula Face Cream for oilier types. Both are suitable for combination, normal and sensitive skin. Some companies have a thicker cream for night use, but we do not believe in using products that are too rich on the face and can clog pores, and this is not needed with the modern plant actives that are now available.
