Alternative to Eos Lip Balm

At Nakin we love getting feedback from customers and have heard that for some our Lip Balm has become an alternative to the EOS lip balms. EOS stands for Evolution of Smooth, and they produce natural lip balms with really pretty colours and flavours, often presented in cute sphere containers. Our Nakin balm does not have the pretty colours and interesting shape but does pack a punch when it comes to protecting and caring for lips. It contains hydrating castor oil, healing and rejuvenating shea butter, protecting beeswax, plumping mint, plus softening and conditioning grape seed, argan and baobab oil. At Nakin we formulate all of our products with the highest care, and it is important for us to have a fragrance-free lip balm, and this is one of the differences between most of the EOS balms and Nakin’s. We believe that it is important to have a fragrance-free lip balm, as we feel that fragrance has no benefit for lips. We do use a mild natural fragrance in lots of our face products, but not in the lip balm as the lip area is thinner than the rest of the face, so we do not include fragrance in our lip balm, although it does have a small amount of mint oil.

Our lips have less layers than the rest of our face as their structure is different than other skin. Lips do not have the same oil and sweat glands as skin, as well as the protecting stratum corneum outer layer. This is also the reason that lips easily become dry and damaged plus need the extra care of a lip balm. They are also used so much in the day too from talking and eating, so it is no wonder that they are often dry and cracked.
