3 Easy Steps to Prevent Skin Ageing

3 Easy Steps to Prevent Skin Ageing

As the years go by our skin naturally ages along with the rest of us. However, there are lots of things that we can do to slow down this ageing process and prevent premature skin ageing. One of the main reasons that people use skincare is to keep their skin in good condition and looking as good as it can. This is why we developed our award-winning anti-ageing skincare to help skin look as good as it can naturally. Most of us would like our skin to look fresh, clear, plump and hydrated and this is achievable with the best natural skincare products, while also implementing a couple of other easy steps in our daily lifestyle. It is never too early or too late to start looking after our skin. We also recommend looking after your skin properly regardless of if you have problems, or are lucky to have naturally gorgeous skin. To keep skin looking youthful and reduce skin ageing there are three easy steps that all of us can take. These steps will help us achieve young sprightly looking skin. Read on to see Nakin’s easy to implement and accessible system to prevent skin ageing.

1. Use Sunscreen

The number one way to keep skin looking youthful is to use sunscreen. This is because most premature ageing is due to sun exposure, so screening skin from the sun is important. It also helps to protect against skin cancer. Many dermatologists recommend using sun screen every single day and not just on longer summer days when out in the sun lots. It is also recommended even if you have darker skin that does not burn easily. There have been so many studies conducted to prove the damaging effects of the sun rays. Many people often state that using sunscreen religiously is one of their secrets to achieving good skin. Always apply sunscreen before actually going outside and reapply as required. Pay extra special care to the face, neck, decolletage, arms feet and back of the hands. These areas are often most exposed to the sun and show the most signs of ageing. Just to mention that we do need to take care to ensure that we have adequate vitamin D, through the diet or supplements.

2. Collagen Production

Boosting collagen production in the skin is a really beneficial part of an anti-ageing routine. Collagen is a component in our skin that essentially helps to ensure our skins strength, it helps with the elasticity and plumpness. As we age the collagen production decreases and starts to breakdown. When the collagen breaks down, we start to see things like saggy skin, lines and wrinkles. So, using face products that help skin to produce more collagen is really beneficial. Nakin is a favourite skin care brand for many due to its ability to help to resist and correct the signs of skin ageing. It assists in resolving many skin concerns like lines, wrinkles, dullness and an uneven skin tone.  We should all be a little sceptical about anti-ageing creams, and we need to know that they are not a miracle cure. Instead Nakin is about helping skin to look as good as it can naturally. What our treatment creams and moisturisers do is to support the skin's natural process of producing collagen, from the amazing plant extracts in the formula such as squalene, green tea extract and seaweed. The range is full of so many good ingredients that naturally help to boost the health of the skin, cleansing and supporting it to improve collagen production.

Our full range has a collection of beautiful face products. The Anti-Ageing Advanced Cleansing Milk and Anti-Ageing Purifying Face Toner cleanse and freshen skin. Then for the treatments there is the Anti-Ageing Eye Cream, Anti-Ageing Face Serum and Anti-Ageing Face Oil. Moisturise with either the Anti-Ageing Matt Face Cream for oily, normal, sensitive and combination skin, or the Anti-Ageing Dew Face Cream for dry, normal, sensitive and combination skin. Follow everything with our gorgeous Anti-Ageing Lip Balm.

Just to mention that you do not need a product to actually have collagen in the ingredients list for it to help to boost collagen. At Nakin we do not use collagen in the ingredients listing as it is made from fish, and all of our products are mostly vegan, and if not they are vegetarian. You also do not need to use a thick cream to keep skin looking great, as this can weigh skin down and cause clogging.

Our products are extraordinarily rich in terms of nutrients and hydration, but they sink beautifully into skin, all with natural formulas free from parabens, colouring, PEGs and artificial fragrance. It is also amazing if you are looking for sensitive skin care products as many anti-ageing ingredients are harsh for skin. It is also made for those that love cruelty free face products.

Focusing on collagen production is important in skincare, whatever stage of the journey you are at. It helps to avoid premature ageing, resist general skin ageing, prevent skin damage and improving current skin ageing issues.

In order to see amazing results though skin needs a full routine, and this includes great cleansing and exfoliation. You can exfoliate your skin using our Advanced Cleansing Milk and a damp muslin cloth. This is because good exfoliation helps to ensure that you are getting rid of dead skin cells on your face. This prevents breakouts and dull skin, but also means that by getting rid of all those dead skin cells, you are clearing the way for actives used afterwards to work as well as they can. They can then help to increase cell turnover rate and bring new fresh baby skin cells to the surface. Our favourite product to help to boost collagen production and reduce all signs of skin ageing is our Performance Face Serum. Another important aspect of anti-ageing is good moisturising. It might seem obvious to some, but one of the other factors in ageing is dryness of the skin. If you have dry skin, then our Active Dew Face Cream is superb for hydrating and locking moisture into the skin.

3. Control Facial Expressions

Improving our facial expressions can be an easy way to prevent and reduce premature ageing. We all have our individual expressions that we make and the ones to watch are the scrunching up of the face, a tense face, eye squinting and frowning. You will probably notice this yourself when you look in the mirror, you might see lines on the forehead and underneath the eyes, or even deep-set wrinkles, to the point where you look older than you should.  We are not saying to not smile or be animated when you speak, but instead watch out for when you are stressed to see how your face is affected, and try to relax it out. Frowning is a contributor to premature ageing and the eleven lines between our eyebrows.

So, if we can control this it will help to keep expression lines to a minimum. Plus, always wear sunglasses when needed to stop eye squinting. It is small things like this that make a big difference. Natural laughter lines are not something to worry about and it is also better for our face to be smiling than frowning. Laughing in itself releases feel good hormones and is anti-ageing. If you are overworked or going through a stressful time, then this stress can also impact on your skin functioning. It can also affect our sleep quality, which reduces the daily time our skin has to repair itself.

We hope that you found this article helpful. It really is quite simple to keep skin looking young and youthful. To recap, the three steps include wearing sunscreen, using great skincare that helps to boost collagen production, plus to control those facial expressions used at times of stress.
